Boudoir Photos: Find Yourself Again - A special post for the ladies

Attention Ladies!! Have you ever wanted to try something daring and out of your comfort zone? Let me help you expose both your inner and outer beauty to yourself, and whomever else you would like with a personal stylized intimate photo session.

You are probably thinking, “yeah right, maybe after I lose x amount of pounds and tighten and tone up this and this or this.” Well I have a little secret to let you in on, no matter how long you push it off, you will NEVER feel 100% ready, so why not just take the plunge now?  You will always find something about yourself to critique, getting in your own way of feeling confident about yourself. As women, we are always comparing ourselves to others, to what we used to look like, or what we want to look like. No matter how much we say we don’t, let’s be honest, we do.

Do you have a special milestone birthday coming up? An anniversary with that special someone? Are you wanting something to help rekindle your romantic life? Are you close to a goal weight that you have literally been busting your butt to reach? Let’s celebrate you stepping out of your comfort zone and going for it. This is your time to choose how much of your body to show.

I recently read an article about a man who wrote a photographer who took boudoir photos of his wife. Although he found them to be nice photos, he was upset that the photographer had listened to his wife and edited out things that she saw as her flaws. My favorite example that he discussed, was that her tiger stripes had been removed (aka stretch marks from pregnancy). He was upset that these were removed because they were among the many things that he loved about her body. He loved that she grew his children in her body and those tiger stripes are a constant reminder to him that he cherishes. You can read the article for yourself by clicking this link

We are always our own worst critic, so stop being so hard on yourself and love yourself. My goal is to get to know you and what makes you uncomfortable, what things about yourself that make you proud, and to create a fun session to help you rejuvenate your love for yourself. I don’t want this to just be a photo shoot for you, I want this to be a life changing experience for you. Don’t let your fears and insecurities dictate your life. Quit being self-hating, be more kind to yourself. Let me help you see yourself from someone else’s perspective. I want to help you push yourself into something that you have forgotten about yourself or that you have never even known was there.

I recently had the opportunity to create a session with a vision that came out just as I had hoped. The weather was perfect, the location was on point, my model and friend for the session looked beautiful. With this trifecta, I felt invincible and we had so much fun creating some beautiful images. Wouldn’t you agree? Bernadette looked stunning, so can you!
